考試是一門什么樣的考試呢？不愛考試的我在決定了出國的那一刻、就明白我必須參加一門語言類考試去meet the entrance requirement。當時擺在我面前的有兩種選擇：和舊托福。那時候iBT還沒有面試、我就將所有出國的語言類考試試卷都拿來做了個比較、發現所有的考試當中就只有有口語考試、所以感覺只有這門考試還比較和實際聯系緊密。具體到我們聽力當中、就是考查的所有場景和詞匯都與生活相關、都很有實用性。

　　聽力的詞匯和我們出國后的日常生活息息相關、主要可以分為以下幾個場景、需要大家來分場景記憶。在這里我們不會給大家把各類詞匯做歸納總結、只會給大家講解一下如何來歸納、讓大家在備考的過程中有章可循�？偟膩碇v聽力中的詞匯可以歸為兩大類、即生活詞匯和學術詞匯。需要澄清的是學術詞匯并不是說某一個專業領域內的詞匯、比如物理大分子方向、或者醫學中解剖學、而是考查在這個領域當中那些使用頻率比較高的詞、某些特殊的專業名詞并不會出現在聽力當中。舉一個例子、比如你剛到一個新的環境、首先你需要找到一個住處吧、那么這樣的場景通常是什么樣子的呢、用到的主要單詞又是什么呢？聽力中的accommodation的場景對話就會告訴你答案。但是你會發現答案一定不是那些關于房屋排水或者結構的詞匯、而是關于水費、房屋的地理位置等這些非常通俗而且生活的內容。再比如、剛到學校、學校都會給新同學一些指導幫助、向你介紹一下學校的情況、告訴你如何使用學校的一些公共設施、這樣就有了orientation 的場景對話。在這個場景中我們會學到很多和學校的公共服務息息相關的詞匯。因此、為考試所作的準備同時也是在為將來的生活學習做準備、一舉兩得、何樂而不為呢？如果把這些詞匯歸個類、我們就可以更好地看出它是如何和我們的日常生活息息相關了、而不是高高在上了。
